I left Anderson to join the Air Force in 1979. I served on the island of Guam, then went to South Dakota. While there I went on an exercise with a unit from Minot, ND. It was at Fort Bliss, in El Paso, TX. I my husband here. Mark and I have been married for 34 years. I was discharged from the military here. My husband then got an assignment to Ramstein AB, Germany. My son Christopher was born here during the time Mark was in Qatar during Desert Storm. In 1992 we came back to the states to Mark' home town, Sterling Heights, MI (suburb of Detroit). We bought the house he grew up in. It is a culture shock after growing up in Anderson.
